Occasionally as a private pilot you may wish to enhance your training and prepare for the unexpected by booking onto one of our advanced pilots’ courses, designed for PPL(H) holders and run by commercial pilots.

This course is not just aimed at “advanced” pilots, but for all those who are keen to build on existing training and focus on some of the more challenging manoeuvres, which will both improve coordination and enhance flight safety for yourself and your passengers.

It is recommended to conduct the course in the aircraft you are most familiar with, so that you can gain the maximum potential learning experience.

Ground School: 5 hours
Flight Training: 3 hours (or as tailored)
Type Specific Emphasis: Low G, Rotor RPM Management, Advanced Autorotations, Hydraulics & G500H (if applicable)

Cabri G2

Ground School: 5 hours
Flight Training: 3 hours (or as tailored)
Type Specific Emphasis: Fenestron, Yaw Control, Simulated Engine Off Landings, Avionics

MD520N

Ground School: 5 hours
Flight Training: 2 hours (or as tailored)
Type Specific Emphasis: NOTAR, YSAS, Autorotations, Turbine Management
